7,500 - 9,500 CARTIER - an Art Deco 18ct gold gem-set cigarette case, circa 1950s, rounded oblong form with all over ribbed sunburst decoration, vacant cartouche, cabochon ruby push-buttons and invisible hinge, lid signed Cartier London, mark of Jacques Cartier, Coronation hallmarks London 1952, length 8.5cm, 167g gross, in original fitted gilded red leather Cartier case Excellent original condition, case lightly abraded all over with a couple of very minor indentations on corners and the side panels, rubies have a very deep vivid red colour saturation and have a few small surface-reaching fractures and tiny chips visible through a loupe, push-buttons working perfectly and lid closes flush with body, hallmarks very slightly rubbed, case has some small scuffs on corners but generally good, full English hallmarks, stamped 18
